Heart brain connection
There is a very significant connection between the heart and the brain.
The HeartMath Institute (hearthmath.com) has led scientific research on the psychophysiology of stress, emotions and interactions between the heart and the brain for more than 25 years.
The connection between the heart and the brain
“Most of us have learned in school that the heart is constantly responding to “orders” sent by the brain as neural signals. However, it is not as well known that the heart actually sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart! Furthermore, these heart signals have a significant effect on brain function – influencing the processing of emotions as well as higher cognitive faculties such as attention, perception, memory and problem solving. In other words, not only does the heart react to the brain, but the brain is also constantly reacting to the heart.”
In a conference where I was invited to interpret for a group of friends who did not speak English, I had the privilege of having access to the presentation on the HeartMath Institute. They explained that when we measure the heart and the brain at the electromagnetic level, the heart is 6 times more powerful. This means that the heart sends out much more powerful signals and generally has more impact.. So if we decide to send thoughts of love and compassion to those around us, by combining the heart with the mind the impact is much greater.
As physicist Nassim Haramein said : “Whatever you do, everything you make, everything you think is recorded on the structure of space-time”.
So, it’s a good idea to wholeheartedly send, nice thoughts to all, our environment, our planet and ourselves!
